LAROUSSE  PARIS  14th

The Larousse project, a turnkey project, is a 50m² Parisian pied-à-terre, designed for a young executive, as a place of rest, with the appearance of a hotel suite, allowing him to settle down between his numerous trips back and forth, Paris – Annecy.

An apartment also designed for a couple, as well as for a future family, both in terms of the distribution of space and its pleasant, bright living room, opening onto the kitchen.

In this property, we have kept the original layout of the apartment: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a kitchenette area in the living room, from which we have recreated a more spacious kitchen with plenty of storage; while bringing this interior up to date.

For this interior design project in Paris 14th, we completely redesigned a real space dedicated to the kitchen; a custom-made, integrated and equipped kitchen with plenty of storage, open to the living room.

We used walnut, a wood that is strongly present in each of the rooms of the project, both for the storage in the lower part of the kitchen and in touches in the living room, the master bedroom and the office. For the storage in the upper part of the kitchen, we used a neutral color, white, allowing us to enhance the splashback with nuanced zellige from David B.

We created a 47 cm deep bar, making the transition with the living room: on the kitchen side it extends the worktop as well as the storage in the lower part and, on the living room side, the half-partition serves as a wall support for the television.

In the entrance, we dressed the kitchen wall with a large custom-made mirror giving more depth to the wing dedicated to the bedrooms, allowing us to recover the light from the office.

As a classic touch, we kept the original fireplace and its mirror, and restored grandeur to the main living room by adding all the moldings. The parquet flooring was also kept at the client's request.

The master bedroom is initially a long room. We created a bed bridge there: a custom-made dressing room around the bed with built-in bedside tables, and a library space. We chose a white, refined dressing room, which blends into the bedroom, and enhanced it with small touches of walnut in keeping with the living room.

Creating an elegant pied-à-terre, a play of classic/contemporary, enhanced with woody notes and touches of bright colors, is the ambition we had for the Larousse project.
